WHAT IS IT THE SKIMO8 ?

SKIMO8 is a long-distance mountain ski trip in the format of a race for teams of 2 or 3 people, in stages, which this 2022 will celebrate its 1st edition.

The 1st stage The trek takes place along a high mountain route, in a spectacular setting within the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley.

The 2nd stage The trek takes place along a high mountain route, linking two refuges in a spectacular setting, within the Sorteny and Rialb valleys.

The aim of the Skimo8 is to be part of the tour of the country with mountain skiing joining the two valleys as well as the 3 ski resorts: Naturland, the Grau Roig Ski Resort and the Ordino Resort Arcalis, crossing the 8 refuges, bringing together the best professionals in this sport, with lovers and practitioners of downhill skiing, who will seek their personal challenge, enjoying an unprecedented route, with a shorter second stage and less technical than the Skimo4.
