SKIMO 4 starts in one of the most impressive landscapes in the country, the Vall d’Incles, and offers a demanding, varied and spectacular route crossing three iconic valleys.

Route description

We will start in the Vall d’Incles with a first ascent of 700 m+, passing by the Querol lake up to the Clot Sord col, with stunning scenery right from the start. At the top, a 600 m descent awaits us, varied and fun: open areas, technical forests and narrow couloirs leading to the first refreshment point in Ransol.

After catching our breath, we will tackle a great ski mountaineering classic:
The ascent to the Meners col, with 800 m+ of elevation gain.
A spectacular section winding through couloirs and lakes of Ransol up to the final slope of the col. From there, we will begin the second descent of the day towards the Sorteny Refuge, where we will find the second refreshment point, having completed around 15 km of the race.

The final section will still demand effort: an up-and-down through Planell de Quer, followed by the entire Rialb valley, passing the Rialb Refuge and reaching the Portella de Rialb. From here, we will already see the Ordino Arcalís ski resort in the distance and the long-awaited finish line.

But before that, one last major challenge remains:
The final descent, shared with the legendary descent from the Pic de Fontblanca, with 700 m- of elevation loss, fast and demanding, leading us to the Pont del Castellar.

And finally, the last effort: 100 m+ and the final 2 km to the finish line, where this great challenge will come to an end!

REGULATION

---

Each participant in the SKIMO4 crossing is obliged to have the federal competition card or day insurance that covers the practice of this activity.

DAY LICENSE

The teams must be made up of 2 or 3 people of legal age. Throughout the course of the race the team members must go together and they can not be separated.

In case the weather forecast is very adverse and the helicopter can not fly, the organization would be obligated to cancel the test for security reasons.

Each runner will have to sign the REGISTRATION REGISTER, in this way, accept their participation under their responsibility. The organization declines all responsibility in the event of personal or material damage suffered by its own or third parties arising from the celebration of the SKIMO4.

In the event that a team leaves the race, it must notify the organization.
In case of abandonment of a component in a team of 2, the other must abandon, since at least 2 must arrive upon arrival so that the team is counted.
In case of abandonment of a component in a team of 3, this must leave COMPULSORY at a control point of the organization in this way the team can continue and will be counted upon arrival.

The organization will provide assistance / abandonment points during the tours for participants who are not able to continue, when the organization believes it appropriate, will accompany all participants who have left using a convoy by land to a point of collection where they will have a vehicle of the organization that will transfer them until arrival.
Outside these points, except for injury or major health problems, any evacuation will be borne by the same broker.

The Organization reserves the right to modify and extend the insurance coverage requested to the participants, in accordance with the law in force at any time.

For everything not provided for in this regulation the organization can enforce the regulation of the FAM.

To Score in the Andorra Mountain Ski Cup, teams can be 2 or 3 people. The Andorra Cup is managed directly by the F.A.M, which will make its work available to the Organization and its regulations will be applied.

RIGHT TO RACE

---

• Race numbers
• Commemorative gift of the race, in case any registered participant cannot attend, the gift will be kept or sent cash on delivery.
• Bus transport to the start and subsequently to the finish. (to be arranged with the registration)
• Breakfast before the race
• The route will be properly marked and traced in its entirety.
• Multiple checkpoints and supplies, both liquid and solid, throughout the route.
• Lunch at the finish
• “Finisher” trophy for all participants who complete the entire course; if only one runner from a team arrives, they will not be able to obtain the trophy.
• The organization will provide a sweep team to proceed with the closure of the race.
• The organization will be in contact with the Andorra Firefighters rescue group throughout the day.
• Live tracking, on our website, there will be a transmission of passage in 2 sectors of the crossing.

At the Restaurant of THE FINISH AREA, you can have lunch at the Self-service from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
The lunch ticket will be handed out when you finish the stage. Accompanying persons who wish can obtain a lunch ticket in the finish area for €10.

CANCELLATIONS

The organization for adverse weather conditions or for the proper development of the race may decide to cancel it.

The organization reserves the right to modify or decide on any unforeseen event not covered in these regulations.

For anything not provided for in these regulations, the organization may enforce the regulations of the FAM.

With your registration, you have access to a registration protection insurance and services, which in case you cannot attend the event will refund you 100% of the amount.

If you have not purchased the protection insurance:
In case you cannot attend the event due to medical prescription (demonstrable), the registration fee will not be refunded, but you will be allowed to add a substitute or transfer the registration.

In case you cannot attend for any other reason, the registration fee will not be refunded, but you will be able to transfer it.
In no case will the organization refund the registration fees.

In the event that the weather forecast is very adverse and the helicopter cannot fly or there is a high risk of avalanches, the organization would be obliged to cancel the event for safety reasons.

In case of cancellation due to adverse weather conditions or safety reasons, on the same day of the event, the registration will not be refunded, you will be able to use the lunch and all contracted services.

In no case will the date of the event be postponed, it will be directly canceled until the next edition.

In case of cancellation and/or modification of the event due to major causes and external to the organization due to COVID-19

The Organization reserves the right to modify any point, to ensure the safety of participants, volunteers and members of the organization, if required by the Andorran authorities.

The event may be canceled if:

Due to covid-19, the health situation in the Principality of Andorra does not allow for the organization of events and the Andorran authorities decide to cancel or restrict sporting events.
For major external causes to the organization, if for major external causes the event cannot be held, the organization may decide to cancel it at any time.

In no case will the date of the event be postponed, it will be directly canceled until the next edition, the registration fee will not be refunded and will be deferred to the next edition.
